Weekend fun

Here we are on a nice Saturday afternoon eating Popsicles after a day at the pool. What a hard life, huh?

Our little guy with his own Popsicle- let me tell you he was a mess by the end of it all.

It's all about the Arts & Crafts these days with Merrick. Here he is with some "Oobleck" a mixture of corn starch and water. Sean had his own personal bowl.

Friends, Floaties and Fun

Merrick has done really well with swimming this summer but now he thinks he can swim all by himself and he just jumps into the water. So, that being a little dangerous we thought we'd try out these floaties and needless to say he loves them. He goes all over the pool with them.

This is Merrick's newest friend Chloe, she's such a babe.

These are our newest friends, The Robins, they go to our ward and live next door to us.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

We're trying to get a few things in before Sean starts school on Monday and one of the things on our list was the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was a ton of fun and I think we'll be going to Monterey more often now that we know how close it is.

Merrick in the kids section of the aquarium. It was hard to leave this section because he was having so much fun playing with all of the hands on games.

Las Vegas

Right before we moved we got a chance to visit our friends, The Lillards, in Las Vegas. We had a really good time and we hope to visit again, sometime.

The Bellagio was so awesome. Think Ocean's Eleven.

We also got to see our good friends My and Craig in Las Vegas before they moved to Texas. They moved to the area that Sean served his mission so Sean is very familiar with their new home town. We miss you guys!

It's been too long

We got a chance to do a lot of fun things this summer and one of them was to go to some water slide parks. This Water park was in Sacramento and I use to go to it when I was a little kid so I wanted to go back and see if it was still as big as I remembered it.

Here is a picture of the kids area of the park with the Pirate ship. Totally cool, Merrick loved it.

I've been trying to take more family pictures of the three of us so here's one at the water park.

We finished off the day with my dad showing Merrick how to eat cookies and milk. If you can see, Merrick's interpretation of dunking his cookie is placing his whole fist in the milk, my dad kept telling him okay, that's enough, okay, it was pretty darn cute.

Old Friends and Carpinteria

We went back "home" in June for Dustin's Graduation and got a chance to see some old friends.

A Day at the Zoo

We have the tiniest little zoo in our new town but we really like it because they have a petting zoo that Merrick can actually do. He thinks it's hilarious to feed the animals.

I get a kick out of going every time.
