Sean graduated on May 16th from UC Merced with a degree in Human Biology and is on his way to Wagner College on Staten Island to pursue a Master's degree in Microbiology. He worked so darn hard for that degree and we couldn't be more proud of him. He is definitely too smart for his own good now and can't help but to rub it in a little as to how the brain works or why we should stay away from public restrooms but I love him and I listen even when it creeps me out. Anyways this is really late I know and old news since he's already done a summer session at Wagner but I really wanted to make sure we got it on our blog so that we could remember it forever. Love you Sean!

Wagner College -Staten Island -NYC here we come

So it feels like we're on a little bit of a roller coaster ride right now but I wanted to stop in and update all of you on our future plans. I will do all of our upcoming events in order. Sean is graduating with a BS in Human Biology next Saturday on May 16th from UC Merced and then we will be packing up our apartment, selling the majority of our furniture and putting the rest in storage until the end of the summer. Then we are flying Sean out to NYC to attend a summer session at Wagner College on Staten Island were he's been accepted as a Graduate Student in Microbiology. The session is about a month long and so I think he'll stay in a dormatory (hahhaaa) like a freshman with a roomate and a dining card which I'm still getting a kick out of. I mean he's 28, married with kids and he's staying in a dorm just hilarious, anyhoo that's that from June 1st to June 28th. The kids and I will be moving home with the grandparents and then Sean will come home at the end of June. I might fly out to meet him for a week sometime in June but I'm nervous to leave the little ones. Next up we'll be living and playing in Camarillo/ Carpinteria for a few of months (excited to be by the ocean for 3 whole months) and then sometime in August we'll pack up our vehicles and head out to NYC for Sean's school. We are beyond exstatic about our future and we just can't wait to start this new chapter in our lives.

Our lives as we know it
Build a Bear Workshop. Merrick got a Green Frog (with cute 4 leaf clovers on the cheeks) and a Tigger outfit so of course his name is Tigger- Tigger and Memphis got a Koala Bear with a Woody outfit so of course his name is Woody-Woody. Here he is kissing the hearts that will go into the Build a Bear Friends.

The Kitchen
Merrick likes to climb on it but what 3 year old doesn't climb on stuff right? Okay maybe just my 3 year old does. But both seem to have a lot of fun pretending to be in the "kitchen" cooking dinner like mama. I look forward to a lot of pretend play with this kitchen in our home and in our lives as our family grows and grows.
Memphis turns 1
Birthday
I turned 29 last month and had the best birthday ever. I got this great new book and tried a chocolate cake recipe from it right away. Merrick just could not celebrate someone's birthday without a cake. Oh and he also got to blow out the candles after we sang Happy Birthday to him, good fun.
