A day in the life....

Oh yeah! This was a Lemon Meringue Ice Cream Pie in a Toasted Pecan Crust which I was able to tackle for Easter dinner and all I have to say is that it tasted as fabulous as it looked.

These Golden Irises, bloom in our garden every Summer and they are so beautiful. When I took this picture there were only one or two but now there are like five blooming and they just make gardening that much more fun to do.

Let me present to you, not only two very adorable kiddies but, also, my living room. It was invaded with toys and Merrick's only 14 months old I just can't believe how many toys we have. So I got to work....

and this is what I found. This pile of toys was just what we had in the living room!!! Let me tell you, the beast within was definitely released because for those who know us well, know that our living room is teeny tiny and I had had it with the toys! Ahhh
Here is a shot of the living room after it was cleaned and de-toyed. I moved that big pile of toys into Merrick's room, I don't know how but I did and I even rearranged the furniture. It doesn't make my place any bigger but I don't feel as claustrophobic as I use to, thank goodness!

Easter Eggs Extravaganza

Here we all are. My favorite girlfriends, their kids and of course my mom ( who is my best friend, hands down) and my little baby boy. We spent Thursday afternoon coloring easter eggs and getting the kids into the spirit of Easter.

Here's Merrick's buddies: Logan, Maddy and Ryley.

Merrick being sandwiched between the two women that love him most.

Both are just getting a kick out of this whole easter egg dying thing. If you can see Merrick he is just laughing away. Soooo cute!

Ode to my love for the weekends

It's Sunday morning and Merrick is just lounging in bed with us. He's reading "The Little Engine that Could" all by himself.

Here's a close-up of my little bubba boy with bed hair and those droopy "I just woke up" eyes.

We had a birthday party yesterday and I caught this super cute picture of Merrick and his friend Logan playing with the bubbles. Down below is a picture of the Cinderella pinata they had at the party it was like twice the size of all the kids. I'm pretty sure it was a good 3 1/2 feet tall.
