Raspberry Scones

What do you do when you decide to go pick your own raspberries again with a really good girlfriend?

You make yummy raspberry scones of course.

I got the raspberry scones recipe here, but substituted whole milk for heavy cream and it was very good.

A Dragon, a Care Bear and a Tea Party

Merrick has really been loving itty bitty cups that he can drink his chocolate milk out of with a super long curvy straw of course.
So on Saturday after I went Garage Sale Hunting and found this cute Dragon costume for a dollar we had a tea party.

His cute little Care Bear had to have his own cup and a curvy straw too. So cute.

Fall 2008

Picking my own raspberries to make raspberry jam.

The beginning of a tutorial for jam that I will put on here very soon.

A dress rehearsal of costumes for Halloween.

I found this chicky costume at The Children's Place for $2 brand new, last year around Christmas. I love it soo darn much but we are trying to be a Pirate Family this year so I'm going to make Memphis a little Parrot costume. Wish me luck.

Halloween magnets for the fridge for Merrick to play with. I made these with diamond glaze, I love that stuff.

Sometimes life is just too exhausting

The series of pictures you are about to see are all of Merrick.

Now watch his hair closely.

Do you see how it doesn't move at all.

That's because when I was busy nursing Memphis, Merrick decided to get into the Vaseline and rub it all into his hair, face, clothes oh and of course the mirror. The mirror that still had the toothpaste residue from the day before got a nice new layer of Vaseline (globs of it to be precise) all over it. These pictures are of Merrick after I gave him a bath and after I washed his hair with shampoo 5 times. Yeah, needless to say his hair stayed in place the rest of the day.

Tid Bits of our lives

I had my 10 year high school reunion a few weeks back and the only picture I got from the whole weekend was this one of Merrick dressed up in a Power Ranger costume.

Memphis after a bath.

Merrick "brushing his teeth". Super cute but what was not cute was all the toothpaste he rubbed on the mirror. How does one get toothpaste off a mirror? I cleaned and cleaned but there was still a white film all over the mirrors.

Look at those hands.

Care Bears

Merrick has really been loving the Care Bears lately and one day we decided to give him a Care Bear symbol on his belly with face paints (he got Sunshine Bear's symbol). He loved being a Care Bear so much he wanted his little brother to be a Care Bear too. So I said he could draw brother's Care Bear symbol.
Here they are. Memphis was loving all the attention Merrick was giving him.

Merrick really gets into his drawings and of course Memphis needed every symbol Merrick could think of (all over his face and body).

Some spots were really ticklish so Memphis just cracked up.

Ahh, the finished product.

Merrick also made me a Care Bear symbol on my belly but we just won't go there.

Merrick feeding Memphis

I only have a sec to post because Merrick is here at my side requesting that I "sit down" at the table to play Chinese Checkers with him, hahaha. But here is a cute pic of something that's been happening a lot around here Merrick feeding Memphis, and Memphis loves that one on one with Merrick, so super cute to watch my boys play together.
