Leia's new dress

I have been meaning to get some sewing done but have just been too busy with the kids and too tired at night so nothing is coming out of my workshop. But, I did manage to finish up this dress I made for Leia a while back and I think it was the perfect get-back-into-sewing-project I could have ever done. I hand dyed the material and then used one of my go to 2 year old pattern from Weekend Sewing. The best part was Leia helping me make it and then wanting to put it on as soon as it was completed and then as if she hadn't already made me feel like the luckiest mom in the world she says thank you over and over again as she dances in her new dress. My mom crocheted some flowers for me when I was home visiting so I put a bead in one of them and added it to the dress. Leia loves the flower just as much as she loves the dress.

Relief Society Pot Luck Lunch for Enrichment

We had a Relief Society Enrichment Pot Luck lunch last month and it was soooo much fun. I love spending time with all these wonderful ladies, especially after being gone for so long.

Back in Grenada

Well folks, we made it back to Grenada safe and sound. The first thing we did was hit some of our favorite beaches. This one is La Sagesse and it is always GORGEOUS!

Here Memphis is taking it all in, one dip in the ocean at a time!

I love how blue the sky and water are, it truly is a wonder how beautiful our world can be sometimes.

Leia turns TWO

Our sweet little girl turned TWO this year. She woke up to balloons and her brothers screaming at her to come open her presents. She got girly things like bracelets, a purse, Tinkerbell Pajamas and a princess costume dress.

I made her a bright pink birthday cake with pink sprinkles and a simple number 2 birthday candle.

No need to hire any clowns at our family festivities when you've got Memphis more than willing to dress up as the one and only Spider-man. He's even got the hands in perfect web-forming positions!

This little girl of ours is everything I dreamed a little girl would be. She's sweet and kind and sooooo happy. She's content being anywhere. She loves her family and adores her brothers. She's the first one to run for daddy when he comes home and the first one to give you a hug if your feeling sad. WE LOVE HER SO MUCH! I love being her mom and am excited to see her blossom into a young woman. We hope you had a wonderful 2nd birthday, little one, we are blessed to have you in our family!

California living

We left our little island for a much needed break to the good ol' USA! We came home April 3rd and we will be flying home in July. Sean will join us after his finals on May 23rd. We decided to put Merrick in school since it was going to be such a long break and I wanted to make sure that he wasn't falling behind academically. This picture is of Merrick on his FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL in Cali with no uniform!!! So far he is doing excellent in school and has made a ton of friends! Love my little 7 year old!

EASTER 2013

Easter in Grenada 2013!

Memphis turns FIVE

Memphis turned FIVE this year, I can't believe it!

We did a Batman themed birthday party and he was stoked!

I did a little freezer paper stenciling to make a hulk t-shirt and a Batman t-shirt.

I also went all out and made a Batman FONDANT cake (first one EVER) and although I had a minor heart attack when I was mixing the melted marshmallow with the powdered sugar, it turned out AWESOME!

Memphis' BFF, Turner, these two were meant for eachother.

Memphis is an amazing little boy. He is sweet, kind and very caring of others. He's a team player and loves to joke around (all-the-time). We are blessed to have him as part of our family. Happy Birthday sweet boy, mommy and daddy love you!

St. Patrick's Day 2013

We had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day this year. We had a breakfast party for the Significant Others Organization at the Grand Anse Pavilion (fancy pavilion by the beach). I made leprechaun beards and hats for the kids to dress up with and use at our photo booth. On Saturday night the kids made a leprechaun trap and in the morning the leprechaun left them some green treats.
