Disneyland x2

We all had such a great time at Disneyland especially Merrick that we just had to take him back one more time before we left Southern California. So we went back on May 27th and it was the perfect day to visit Disneyland. The weather was beyond great, everyone was in a great mood and there were no lines for anything we wanted to go on. Merrick got to go on all of his favorite rides at least 2 times. He can't stop talking about all of the characters. I think we're going to try to go to Disneyland more often now that Merrick is old enough to recognize the attractions.

Disneyland x1

This pretty much sums up our first trip to Disneyland on May 22nd. We still had a good time showing Merrick around it was just a little wet and chilly but no lines.

Vacationing in So. Cal

Eating lunch at one of our ol' favorite hot spots The Padaro Beach Grill.

Merrick being reunited with our trusty ol' sandbox at the Grill.

Swimming at the neighborhood pool. I love this picture because Merrick really likes chips and when I say really, I mean he uses both of his hands to steer the chip perfectly into his mouth. He doesn't want any bit of that chip to drop on the floor.

Tubs first dip in the pool. You gotta love that speedo.

The 2008 Oxnard Strawberry Festival.

Daniell's Baby Shower. She's due any day now. Good Luck Danielle, we'll miss you.

Kid's World Downtown Santa Barbara.

Merrick got to go to this amazing park in Santa Barbara with his awesome Aunt Meg. Thanks Aunt Meg.

Day at the Beach.

Trying not to give Memphis his first sunburn. Look at all those rolls.

For Sean's eyes only (HAHAHAHHA just kidding)

I was having a PRETTY day (a.k.a. good hair day) so I thought 'd send a picture to Sean to remind him of what I looked like (on a good day) but I had the worst time actually taking a picture of myself sooo needless to say this is the best I could do.
Hi Honey, I miss you! A lot! Here are your super cute boys. Merrick giving baby brother a kiss. They miss you too. A lot!
Okay... here YOUR son is dipping his beanie in the bird bath or should I say the dirty bird bath from our old house (do you remember how dirty this thing use to get?).
And now he's proceeding to put the dirty, bird bath dipped beanie back on his head. Like I said this is YOUR son.
Love you honey.
Good Luck on your last two finals.
Kiss some arse. :0)

We miss you Sean

These pictures are especially for Sean who is missing his boys right now. We left town last week to visit family, put on a baby shower, and to give Sean a chance to study for his finals. Although he needed the time to focus, study and SLEEP he still says he misses us very much. He's going to join us in one week exactly. We can't wait.
Here's Memphis LAUGHING! Can you believe it??? He's totally cracking up and we caught it on film.
This is what a lot of our other pictures look like as my mom tried and tried to get him to laugh. We have like ten pictures of him like this and one of him laughing but I tell ya it was all worth it for that priceless pic of him cracking up.
I love you, daddy. Love Bubs!
I love you, daddy! Love Chubs.

Mother's Day

My dad invited us to come to his Golf club in Camarillo for a Mother's Day brunch. It's a nice treat and we get to spend some nice quality time with my mom. Sean couldn't make it because he's wrapping up the semester at school but we missed him very much and can't wait for him to join us next week.
My parents are so cute with the boys. Merrick sat still for the first 5 minutes and then he was off being his usual curious self. You gotta love those crazy 2's.
We thought we'd try something new with Merrick's hair, what do you think? It makes him look so much older doesn't it?
Thanks papa for a very wonderful Mother's Day. He also got my mom and I some roses. A dozen for me and 2 dozen for my mom, ohh lala. We've always been pretty spoiled by my dad.
I love you mom! I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Question?

Question? What happens when you mix jacuzzi jets and bubbles? Oh yeahhhh! That just happened! There were so many thick, foamy bubbles during this bath that Merrick couldn't sit down without getting completely covered by bubbles. He had to play with the bubbles standing up. The funny thing is there was only about a foot and a half of water in the tub and the rest was foam.

My parents and I couldn't stop laughing and Merrick had a really fun time in the bath this night. The first thing he said the next morning was bubbles.
We were putting "hats" of foam on his head and as you can see in all of the pictures the foam stayed put everywhere he went. Hilarious!!!
Look at that little tush, sooo cute!
I love moments like this, it makes me remember how wonderful parenthood really, truly is. We love you Merrick!!!
