Do you know your way to uh... Merced

Okay, so first things first, here is our new pet or should I say pets. We've been really talking about getting Merrick some kind of pet but we weren't sure how much we could handle so a few weeks ago we decided to get Merrick a Beta Fighting Fish, they are soo cool by the way. After a few days we noticed how lonely he was so we went back and got him a wife which I like to call Fluffy because I think it's hilarious and because she's no where near fluffy but Merrick calls her Baa and the boy fish Waa which we nicknamed Wade (get it) hahaha okay so anyways can you guess what happened with this arranged marriage? oh yeah that's right a ton of little baby beta fighting fishes.

Merrick never smiles for pictures but, if for some reason he does this is all you can get out of him, isn't it hilarious.

This is a glimpse of what our living room looks like. This picture doesn't do it much justice but I think that our place is super cute. Here are my folks and bubby hanging out on a Saturday afternoon.

Home Sweet Home

Hello everyone, well we are finally settled into our new apartment. Here are a few pictures of our apartment complex, as soon as I find my digital camera I will upload some pictures of our actual apartment. We are really liking our new town. There's enough for us to do and I think we'll stay pretty busy for the 2-3 years that we'll be here. Beautiful homes are selling for high 200's which has made us think about staying here for good. Our apartment complex is really nice. It was built about 3 years ago and it seems to have a little bit of everything. The pool is right next door to our apartment so we've been going there every other day to give Merrick some play time. We went to our ward for the first time on Sunday and we met lots of people. Everyone seems really nice and the Relief Society has a calendar full of enrichment activities for the month and even a girl's night out, I'm excited to get into the swing of things in our new ward. We took a road trip to San Francisco last weekend and it only took us 2.5 hours. I got my Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters fix for the month and got some cool ideas for decorating our pad. What a month...

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I last wrote but things have not been easy at our house with the internet. Sean's parents got a wireless router for us and connected it to their computer so that we could pick up the signal but of course the signal can't reach that far and at this point we just gave up and have already signed up with internet service at our new apartment. Soooo... I have lots and lots of pictures of all our adventures but they will just have to wait until I get settled and have the time to put things up. Some of the things we've done lately are check out UC Merced where Sean will be finishing up his Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology. We really like the area and our apartment is beautiful and NEW which it really can't get any better than that in Merced let me just tell you. We also got to take little bud to Disneyland and California Adventure 2 weeks ago with Sean's family and we had a blast. Merrick really liked the costumed characters and the parades. Sean gets his braces off in 2 days I can't believe it. He's had those things on for 4 and a half years. That's like 4 years of not wanting to smile for pictures, 4 years of special foods that don't get stuck in braces, 4 years of sore lips and gums, anybody who's had braces knows what I'm talking about. He's so excited, I'm so excited even Merrick's excited and this change couldn't have come at a better time.
